Midorima X Reader: Doubts

"Bwuahahahaha!! (Name)-chan is jealous! This is priceless!" You tried your best not to lose composure listening to the laughter of the hawk-eyed man.
"Takao-kun,just answer my question please." Your (e/c) eyebrows automatically furrowed a bit.

"W-Wait..Let me enjoy this moment firs-pfft!" The jet-black headed guy covered his mouth and turned side-ways to avoid your glare.

"Takao-kun." You're dangerous tone silenced the boy.

"Fine,fine. The answer to your question is that...I don't really know,(Name)-chan!" Takao grinned at you,hoping wipe that scary look off your off.

"So...Shin-kun might actually like Momoi-san?" You asked after sighing a bit,wearing a sad expression. Yes,having attended the same middle school and being the member of the same /legendary/ club,you got curious whether the first crush of your life,Midorima Shintarou had any special relationship with Momoi Satsuki,or anyone else he knew.

"Hm.That could be it. He does praise her very much,saying how good she is in analyzing and how intelligent she is~ And you do know how rare it is for Shin-chan to say those things,right?" Takao put his hands behind his head and stated as a matter of fact.

"Yes,I do." You held your head down,unable to say anything else. You were hoping Takao to encourage you for confessing to Midorima,knowing how supportive he is.However,it seemed that he only caused the opposite effect.

"Shin-chan isn't really the type to be interested in such stuff...He certainly doesn't have a lot of female friends~ Although he said he that he has eye for older girls,he doesn't seem to be interested in anyone at this moment.Maybe you and Momoi-chan are the only ones close to him." He stated.

"...Are you implying that he can choose her instead of me because she's more 'attractive'?" You said,looking away and blushing a bit.

"Aww of course not (Name)-chan! You do know that you're really cute,right?" Takao patted your head.

"B-But...I've been noticing him for quite some times but all he's doing is ignoring me.I...don't think I can keep my feelings hidden anymore.I need to release them...and convey to him." You hanged your head low.

"Then why don't you tell him how you feel?There's nothing wrong with trying even if you fail,you know~ Besides,he's rude to everyone." The blue-eyed boy put his hands on your both of your shoulders and consoled,earning a small smile from you.

"Thank you Taka-"

"Why are you two wasting time?" You got cut off by 'the' green-head,the very person you were talking about.

"Ohoho~ It seems your Prince has arrived,(Name)-chan! Well,I guess I'll leave you both alone now~ Bye~" Takao winked and started running,waving the both of you good-bye while leaving. You and Midorima also left for home.

Ever since meeting you,Midorima and Takao's habit of travelling in a rear car was given up.Midorima had decided to walk you home from school everyday since his house was only a few yards away from yours. Takao was truly grateful to you for easing his pain of pulling the try-cycle. You,yourself was thankful for the extra time you got to spend with Midorima.

Like every other day,you two kept on walking.Fortunately,both of you were able to leave school earlier than usual.Today was Thursday,it was a day-off for all Sports' Clubs of Shuutoku,which was advantageous as you and Midorima belonged to the Volleyball Club and Basketball Club respectively.

You looked up at Midorima who was walking confidently,holding his lucky item which was a pink bunny in his right hand.Midorima and Takao were the only male friends of your class. Your beautiful face and smart,athletic nature made everyone else hit on you. In face,Midorima was the only boy who never complimented your looks,although he was the only one whom you wanted to. To be honest,you tried various ways to get his attention,but all you could do was to observe his charm from behind.
'Nothing I do will get you to notice me,huh?' You kept thinking to yourself.

"Oi." Midorima's deep voice brought you back to reality. "You seem awfully quiet today.That's not like you." His concern alone made your heart skip a beat.

"Shin-kun,I feel tired.Can we take some rest and talk?" You asked him smiling,pointing to the lake-side park you two were passing by.The park was apparently full of young couples.

"O-Okay." The green-eyed teenager tried to hide his blush.Even though he wanted to refuse,he just couldn't say no to that pretty smile.

You and Midorima entered the park and sat on a bench closest to the big lake,watching as the Sun would soon be drowned in the water.

"So,what did you want to talk about?" Midorima asked,turning his face towards you.

You took a long breathe."Shin-kun....do you like Momoi-san? Or anyone else at this moment?" You asked,looking away.

"....Why do you ask that?" He sighed,keeping his usual poker-face in the outside.

"It's obvious why I asked that! You never notice my feelings towards you! Also,I heard that you were very close with Momoi-san and now I don't know if you like anyone else and-" Your low snapping got cut as he stood up from his seat and went closer to the lake,the small waves reflecting his stature.

"...Idiot.You can't say that when you're the one hanging around with Takao all day."

"Shin-kun....You mean..."

"No one can replace you,idiot.So don't make me worried by keeping so quiet." He unknowingly said,and you two had to share a moment of awkward silence. "What I mean is...if you want to get accepted by me,go improve yourself,baka." He declared coughing a bit,not bothering to look at you in the eyes

"I didn't even tell you to accept me." You spoke while chuckling. "My Shin-kun is really sweet~" Going closer to him,you pulled his face towards your height and pecked him gently in the cheek,only to receive a huge smack afterwards.

"Oi,baka! Don't do that in public!" He looked like a real-life tomato at that time.

"Oww---Don't hit in the middle of my head so hard! Your hands are big you know!" You dramatically sobbed,putting your hands on your head.

"S-Sorry.."

"A 'sorry' won't solve everything you know!" You pouted.

"Fine..Do I need to do something?" He asked after sighing,wearing an annoyed expression.
